Why Should I Rotate My Wheels? Four Wheel Rotation Five Wheel Rotation Related Maintenance Tips

Here is the part that will get easier with practice. After inspecting and rotating the wheels on your personal skates a number of times you will become familiar with the regular wear pattern of your wheels. The new positions for your wheels will simply be a reversal of your regular wear pattern.
The familiarity you should now have with your regular wear pattern allows you to remove all of the wheels from your skates to the work surface outside of the Rotation Station™ without the need to remember their pre-rotation positions.
If you plan to clean your skates, wheels and lube the bearings, this is the time to do it.
If your skates have bolts fixing the frames to the boots, it is easy to check them for proper tightness now.
Rotate for diameter first using the vernier caliper to compare wheel sizes. Find the largest wheels and place them in the wheel tray in the position of the smallest wheels prior to rotation.
Continue to fill the wheel tray reversing the pre-rotation wear pattern.
Now check the wheels individually for off-center profile wear and flip them if necessary to
Follow the final two steps of the 4 or 5 wheel rotation pattern to place the now properly positioned wheels back in the skates.
Replace and tighten bolts following your skate manufacturer's specifications.
